February Update

Spring is starting to creep into Tokyo and we have been enjoying some nice weather days at the parks and the girls have been riding their scooters around the neighborhood quite a bit. We continue to enjoy our time working with the students at Christian Academy in Japan and were blessed to have speakers from the Ravi Zacharias International Ministries come and share for a week with our students during Spiritual Life Emphasis Week (SLEW). 

Prayer Requests

• Housing in Okinawa from June 10
• Smooth transition to officially joining Team Expansion and getting the bank accounts set up with our forwarding agents
• Megan's 8th graders will be doing an apologetics project this month and investigating questions and curiosities they have about a Christian worldview
• Special project from our neighborhood grandma to get into contact with friends of her daughter's (deceased) from 20 years ago- they are in the US
• Times of focus and times of rest
• Church members from Sapporo will be visiting us this month
• One of Megan's students who is not a Christian is struggling as his mom has cancer surgery this month

​Praises & Celebrations

• Girls are all doing well in school
• Mia memorized 1 Corinthians 13 for a class fundraiser for Bibles for China; her class raised almost $2000
• Naomi has been writing books and drawing many animal pictures to go with them; she is enjoying all of the time outdoors and our trip to the mountains to enjoy nature earlier this month
• Eliya continues to be a chatterbox- in both English and Japanese; we are excited to see her school dance performance this Saturday
• Andy will be running in another half marathon with his new friend from the neighborhood
• Megan is halfway finished with her class on teacher supervision and will hopefully complete her principal certification by the end of 2016
