The last month has been a month of preparation and meeting new friends. We just finished the first week of New Staff Orientation at Okinawa Christian School International and have been busy getting our classrooms, curriculum, and chapel messages ready. We're so excited to be partnering with so many amazing teachers to serve the children and youth of Okinawa.
Andy is working on preparing elementary chapel messages that take the kids through a year of "Character Challenge", exploring and encouraging them to apply Biblical principles to their lives. He has also been working on his 12th grade Bible curriculum, working to make the Bible and a study of ethics applicable to their lives.
Megan's US History and Government classes will be exploring big ideas such as how humanity has been on a quest for meaning but how as image bearers of Christ we are to become people of justice.
