Ministry update in December

This month gave many opportunities to share the love of Jesus Christ with those around us and those not so close to us. Here are a few of the ways that God has provided our family with opportunities to share His love this month.
  • Andy was able to go to Beijing with Mia and preach and share a Christmas message at a Japanese congregation there.
  • Andy was able to share a limbo game at the Machida Church of Christ's Thanksgiving party for kids.
  • Andy was able to share both the message of Jesus and a bilingual Bible with a Japanese-speaking Chinese lady on the plane home.
  • Megan and the girls have continued to share with our neighborhood Grandma and have invited her and her granddaughter to church this Sunday.
  • Andy was able to share a Christmas message at Christian Academy in Japan's (CAJ) middle school chapel.
  • Megan continues to teach Bible class to 8th graders every morning and received a new student, another non-Christian boy, into her class this month who has many questions about the Bible but is still quite skeptical of anything religious. His grandfather is suffering from cancer and he has been eager to have us pray for him.
  • Andy continues to share devotions with the adult Basketball league every week on Wednesdays at CAJ.

Christmas with 3 little girls

We are blessed with 3 little girls that love to sing, especially if they get to be dressed up and on stage. We've been able to enjoy 2 Christmas pageants, one at Eliya's Japanese preschool and one at CAJ for Mia and Naomi. Mia played the recorder and sang, Naomi sang and acted, and Eliya played the bells and sang.

Thanksgiving

This year we were blessed to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving on the REAL Thursday evening. After a half day of school we ran to Costco to buy pumpkin pies and were blessed by our friends and fellow missionaries here in Tokyo, the Turners, to be able to enjoy a lovely meal. We have so much to be thankful for this year and it was a great chance to stop and be mindful of that.
